Description:

Well proportioned English Victorian  picture frame - newly glazed, c.1870.  This frame has been professionally restored using real gold leaf and authentic methods. It has been finished in a two- tone gilded finish so leaving red boule colour highlights to give more depth of character. The frame is in excellent order with no beading or rose petals damaged. It is glazed but could equally be converted back to use as picture frames. The detail on the frame is hand carved wooden decortaion not gesso mouldings.
