Description:

Superb Victorian large overmantle mirror with original gold leaf and hand painted decoration. this mirror is very much in the aesthetic style with wonderful floral bunches on the top corners and handpainted black motifs running round the frame. The mirror has been professionally restored having some beading missing and general areas of re-glueing, cleaning and where needed re-gilding.

The mirror has a diamond patent registration number on each side which is VERY rare - the first time I have seen this on a mirror. This dates the mirror by reading the year letters to July 1875.

This is one of the best overmantles we have ever stocked and has been restored to a very high standard. Please email with any questions.
