Description:

Fine example of a late regency pier glass mirror with verre eglomise panel, c.1830 - 1840. This is a good example with a very decorative panel of gilt and black known as verre eglomise. The panel depicts a naval scene with castle, lighthouse and boat on British coastline.the mirror is in good original condition with just minor repairs needed. It has one gilt ball missing, slight flaking to columns and panel is loose - this work is currentle being undertaken and the mirror will be ready for sale in May 2008. Complete with original glass and reeded black mount.
