Description:

Fine example of a Regency overmantle mirror with fine carved wooden detsil to the freize with gathered swags and tassles banked by a criss cross design with ebonised rosettes, c.1820. The end panels have lion mask motifs and elegant columns flank each side. The mirror retains original glass and has been profeesionally cleaned and partially re-gilded to bring it upto retail standards. The finish ofn the gilt is not too bright or harsh but is in keeping with a mirror of this period.
