Description:
Fine quality rare stained glass lantern, English c. 1900. This
is a really good example of a gas lantern with very soft coloured glass panels
set into a brass frame. The antique lantern is complete with a set of
original hanging
brass rods in two sections with original 6 hook ceiling rose. This lantern
was originally gas and has the door set in the bottom through which the gas
would have originally been turned on. It has been restored beautifully being
professionally polished and re-wired using antique style flex. There are around
70 separate pieces of Victorian 'muffle' glass in pale pink , green and clear with only a couple of very minor cracks.
This is also an additional set of brass rods shown in bottom
phoptogarph which could be used for a very high ceiling drop.
Measurements:
Height : 41" as shown with 2 hanging rods
Width : 18" max.
Lantern is 24" tall with no fixings.
