Description: Extremely elegant antique three arm gasolier, c.1890. This antique light fitting is well cast brass with applied copper flower motifs on each arm. the antique shades are exceptional and a very rare colour and design. Each shade is frosted and etched with lion mask heads and swags in a classical design. Each arm still has original gas taps which are now fixed to allow for wiring. The whole light fitting has been professionally polished and re-wired for modern electric and it is very impressive when lit. The light is stamped on each arm with a patent registration number ' Rd 271904'. This mark refers to the date when the manufacturers patented the design and relates to the years between 1895 and 1900.
