Description: Fine quality pollard oak Victorian desk with very unusual sliding top, c.1860. This desk is a very slim size when it's not extended making it a useful piece for smaller offices. It has lots of useful storage with graduated drawers in the base and further drawers in the gallery. It has been re-leathered in top quality green embossed hide but otherwise is in original condition with knobs and decorative gallery all original. Pollard oak is a nice timber giving a similar colour and graining to walnut. We are currently having this desk professionally restored including a high quality new leather in two tone antique green. There is a key locking all desk drawers if needed.
