Exceptoional quality small fiddle back mahogany desk by VICKERY, c.1910. This desk has a mechanism set into the drawer so when it is opened the cylinder top automatically recedes. The makers label reads : It has a label which reads " J . C. Vickery To His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen. 179 . 181 . 183. Regent Street W. " This firm had the Royal warrant to King Edward and Queen Alexandra. The bevelled glass top has been re- lined so the whole piece is in excellent condition. The inlaid top is of the finest quality with a very intricate design of adams style urn and harebell swags.
